She started with Newfoundland's in Connecticut, showing to bench titles, but did not breed or have a separate kennel due to extensive travel.  She moved with one Newf to Brazil in the late 70's and volunteered with the Kennel Club de Sao Paulo.  She joined TKC after relocating to Dallas in the early 80's and founded the first regional breed club for Newf's in Texas.

She served as President, VP or other officer of both the Old West and Great Lakes Newf Clubs, and recording secretary and hunt test secretary for the GSP club of Great Lakes.  She served as co-chair of the National Specialty and Regional Specialties for The Newfoundland Club of America.  She has served as Vice President, Recording Secretary, and Board Member of TKC.

In addition, Jane has served on Dallas city-wide committees lobbying successfully for non-breed specific vicious dog legislation in Texas.

She currently acts as a fund raiser for various breeds with artwork for limited edition breed prints.  She also judges working, sporting and herding dogs at match and 4-H levels.
